After studying painting with Don Stacy at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and botanical painting at the New York Botanical Garden, Carole became interested in fabric and quilting . She  began her journey into quilting with traditional designs and techniques, but her earlier training kicked in and the two disciplines merged into a unique , original expression composed of fabric and stitch.

Carole is a member of several quilt guilds including the International Quilters Association, National Quilt Association, and Studio Art Quilt  Association (an international group known as SAQA).  She is also a member of Mamaroneck Artists' Guild (MAG) and FANE (Fiber Art NE).

Recently, Carole had a piece at the Katonah Museum of Art in Katonah,  New York in the exhibit "Face to Face: Community Portraits". Her work has also appeared in Quilting Arts Gifts 2013 magazine and at The City Quilter in NYC.
